The verdict

Strong foundations, some questionable expansions.

Glossier's core hits, Balm Dotcom, Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Milky Jelly, are still excellent. The brand's attempt at category expansion (makeup collections, perfume, skincare upgrades) has been less consistent. If you're buying the original four flagship products, Glossier delivers. If you're buying newer launches, check reviews first.

What they do right

  • Balm Dotcom is still best-in-class
  • Cloud Paint democratised cream blush
  • Clean, restrained brand aesthetic
  • Approachable pricing

What to know

  • Range expansions inconsistent
  • Some original products reformulated
  • Australia-only through Mecca

"The retinol ranking is the only skincare thing I've bookmarked. Every time I see a new product launch I check here first."
